GCBA regularly attends monthly meetings at the Ninth District Coast Guard station. We are notified of all alerts and notices to Mariners to keep our country and borders safe. Recently, we have some preliminary information as to what US Immigrations & Customs will require recreational boaters to do when traveling from the US and Canada. Please keep in mind that this information can change and could change on a day to day basis. Please check the website regularly for updates.

With our main purpose being Political action, we have an active schedule of events for our members participation. Every year we have a rendezvous, bowling tournament, and regattas. Click on our schedule of events to see what's happening.

Updated information.....

We are very proud to announce that GCBA was awarded the 2011 Sima Marine Organization of the Year Award given by the Lake Erie Safe Boating Council. What made this even more special was that Norm Schultz was called up to present this award to the GCBA. He mentioned that this award was long overdue for GCBA and thanked us. This award was the result of not only the current Board, but of all the past Boards who worked for what GCBA stands for. We have people like Rolf Tinge, Dominic LoGalbo, Rich Mckee Sr., John O, Jay, Jerry Catalano, Nick Glynos & Lou Key from the past to thank. We also have our current PAC including John Popovich to thank. Please forgive me if I have missed someone. We have the award on the Boat Show booth.

Congratulations and Thank You. Commander Warren Dempster

Reject the Distribution of E15 Marine Fuel

Help stop the request to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency REJECT any petition for a waiver of the Clean Air Act to allow distribution of E15. Moreover, we urge comprehensive scientific studies be undertaken to identify the full effects of mid-level ethanol blends on the safety and operability of millions of existing marine engines in America’s recreational boating fleet.
